That's a ridiculous price to pay for just a rubber strap. Not only that, the original vintage strap is more susceptible to cracking due to age.



I looked around for different options and i eventually found 2 suppliers that acutally did a replica of the strap that look exactly and felt almost exactly like the actual thing.

One of them is William jean type II on ebay. This guy produced 1:1 replicas of the ZLM01 that have the exact dimensions as the original.

However, the finish on the Wjean replica feels stiffer with a shiner appearance as compared to the original one. This strap is on sale online for 59USD excluding shipping costs.

A real fraction of the original strap cost. It was enticing, but I thought I should look around more.

Then I stumbled across the real deal. The waffles by Uncle Seiko. These straps had waffle finishes which felt more like the original; Sharper and smoother. Oh, and did I mention cheaper as well? 39USD will be able to get you one of these waffles from Uncle Seiko.

The shortcoming that this strap had was the dimension.

It is not as long as the original strap. 6105 owners with thicker wrists might find it a bit too short.

Lucky me, I had wrists that were smaller than the average men you can find on the streets. Instead of it being a short coming, it was actually a plus point for me. After reading several good reviews about the Uncle Seiko Strap, I purchased in from him on ebay without hesistation.

True enough, i wasn't disappointed. Not at all. Great job Uncle Seiko! Long live the 6105!
